Question 92. What did the apostles believe about themselves? (Did they believe that they themselves were people without any authority or as having authority?)

Let us see what the apostles have written about them themselves:

• "Bond servant of Jesus Christ" (Rom 1:1)

• "Ministers of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God " (1 Cori. 4:1)

• "Ambassadors of Christ" (2 Cori. 5:20)

• "One who begs for Jesus Christ"

• "Committed to us the word of reconciliation" (2 Cori 5:20)

• "As workers together with Him" (2 Cori. 6:1)

• Ministers of the new covenant (2 Cori 3:7, Eph 3:6)

• "Fathers of the church " (1 Cori. 4:15)

• Administrators who order (1 Tim 5:2) and excommunicates (punishes) sinners?

• Teachers, who taught the doctrines (1 Tim 2:7, Gala 1:8)

• Who can impart the Gift of God through laying their hands (2 Tim 1:6)
