By Rev. Dr. Curian Kaniyamparambil
He instructed the apostles to perform the following:
Apostles alone were given the authority to teach and baptize. (Mat 28)
Apostles alone were given the authority to anoint with the Holy Spirit. (Acts)
Apostles alone were given the authority to add people to the church (Acts)
Apostles alone were given the authority to celebrate the breaking of Eucharist till His Second Coming.
Apostles alone were given the authority to absolve sins (John 20:22-23)
The book of Acts does not say that anyone except the apostles performed any of these.
