Editor's Note:

Ettu Nomb (8-day Lent) leading to the Birth of St. Mary, The Theotokos, on September 8 begins on Thursday, September 1. Although this is not a canonically required lent, it is one of the most popular lent in our church. Many people vouch for the power of intercession of St. Mary. Malankara World will have several special editions to help the devotees to reflect on what we can learn from the life of St. Mary. These will be short articles. Each issue will have only 3-4 articles. This can be supplemented by the archived issues of prior years. We hope you will have a blessed ettu nomb.
