Have your trust ever failed you?
Mighty USA dolor inscribed 'In God we trust.' Trust in God never fails. All other trusts have potential to burst. Most trusted, time tested, century old insurance companies and banks like Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Merrill Lynch In USA failed trillions of dollars to millions of people all over the world. Much trusted friends, relatives, teachers, and priests some times exploits the trust you and I put on them.
Modern world adopts different gimmicks to build the trust. The people used to fall in their nests. So the people ask, whom I trust? It is a big question to be answered and a dagger in to the heart of the real human beings with heart. Trust building is the most hazardous and difficult but the prime construction project to be taken by the humanity. Could you trust the God who spins the vast Galaxy we live at the incredible speed of 490,000 miles an hour. But even at this break neck speed, our galaxy still needs 200 million years to make one rotation. And there are over one billion other galaxies just like ours in the universe. God who chose to create this because who loves you. And he showed his love by laying his life on the cross and he lives. So we can trust Jesus who never fails you.
Little girl and her father were crossing a bridge. The father was kind of scared. So he asked his little daughter, "Sweetheart, please hold my hand so that you don't fall into the river."
The little girl said, " No, Dad. You hold my hand".
"What’s the difference?" asked the father.
"There is a big difference," replied the little girl. "If I hold your hand and something happens to me, chances are that I may let your hand go. But if you hold my hand, I know for sure that no matter what happens, you will never ever let my hand go."
What a wonderful trust and faith the little children have on the elders! How can a man with a heart exploit it? We are the children of God. We have no right to break the trust the people have placed in us. Are you trustworthy?
Jesus, We cry with David, "Help lord, for the godly are fast disappearing. The faithful have vanished from the earth." But you are the God who will raise up to rescue the victims and do the justice. Let faithful people sprout. Let unfaithful be convinced of their sins and repent. We ask this in the name of Jesus.
Amen.
