Do you know that the root cause for a number of
illnesses can be eliminated?
The number one killer in the world is heart failure. Worry leads to anxiety
which leads to tension that causes blood pressure, and ultimately heart attacks,
sometimes even death. The world is full of worries. There is no meaning in
worrying about something that we have no control of.
Jesus controls everything. When worry comes along, just stop and pray. Our needs
and apprehensions should be brought to God in prayers. Let us focus our eyes on
eternity and the eternal God "Jesus". He will take away all our worries and
tensions.
Jesus says, "Cast you burden on me and I will take care of your worries." "So
don't be anxious about tomorrow. God will take care of your tomorrow. Live one
day at a time." (Mathew 6:34) Planning and execution under the light of God's
guidance is an absolute necessity for a worry-free life. Before we jump into any
activity, even a simple morning walk, submit and wait for God's approval. If God
blesses it, then trust in Him because He is in control. Without God's blessing
and approval, whatever we do will ultimately end in problems leading to worries.
1n 1986, 30 families of the St. Thomas Jacobite Church in Chennai had the
responsibility to construct a Church of their own. They had no money and very
few members. Few members of the Church were very worried. To raise funds, they
organized a Christian Orchestra in Annamalai Mandram auditorium expecting around
1000 people on 26th January 2006. Till the eve of the program, there was only
minimal sale of tickets. To their surprise, the auditorium was packed for the
program. On seeing the crowd, one member of the church commented, "See Acha
(Priest), we had an apprehension of the success of the program but now we are
experiencing the power of prayer, fasting and confidence." The coffers of the
church were filled with money beyond their expectations.
"If God is with us, who can be against us?" Worry always kills. Be enlightened.
Man lives not on bread alone but by the word of God. So when you are worried,
let your eyes go to the Scripture. That will save you from all problems.
Jesus, we are in the midst of problems and
worries. We look up to you as Peter had looked up to you when he was sinking in
the Sea of Galilee. As you saved Peter, save those who have tensions and
worries. Let go of all worries. We ask this in the name of Jesus.
