"This is my comfort in my affliction, for your word has revived me.” (Psalm 119:50)
What does the Bible feed you with?
The Bible (the word of God) never dumps you. So where ever you go, keep it as your ever-loving companion.
"Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path” (Psalm 119:105).
When you feel and experience the darkest period of your life, or are on the brink of hopelessness and death, the Bible is your saviour. "In the multitude of my thoughts within me, your comforts delight my soul” (Psalm 94:19). The word of God has its own power of miracles, wonders and mystery. You should be proud to live and carry the word of God literally and spiritually.
"Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your forehead” (Deuteronomy 11:18).
A Canadian woman who was lost for 49 days survived and she believes that the Bible saved her. She was stranded in a remote area in Nevada, US. 56 year old Rita Chretien and her husband vanished shortly after leaving their home in Canada. She was found alive in the car after 49 days in a remote forest area where there was no cell phone services. The weak and starving Rita read the Bible and wrote journals, while her son in Canada prayed for a miracle. Her son says, “It’s the biggest miracle we could ever ask for.” The day before she was found, Rita had a feeling the following 24 hours would bring an end to her suffering and prepared for the worst, “Whether it was to take her home to be with her savior or to be rescued, and it was to be rescued.” The Bible was her companion to the very end. The husband is still missing and the family is waiting for another miracle.
"It’s written in the scripture, A person does not live by eating only bread, but by everything God says” (Mathew 4:4).
Jesus, thank you for the miraculous escape of Rita Chretien after 49 days of her ordeal without any food but your word. We pray that her husband, Chretien be found alive soon. Let us be the carriers of your word. May those who are in the wilderness of life, find solace in thy word and save them from the darkness of life. All we ask in the name of Jesus. Amen.
