"They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed." (Mark 16:18)
Do you believe in miracles in every age - to save
the souls of unbelievers?
God had given the authority to do miracles to the twelve apostles - and to the
seventy-two disciples subsequently - to preach, to practice, and to save the
souls of unbelievers. Miracles are not for believers but for the unbelieving
people to give them more than ample opportunity to save their souls. It's not a
privilege of the priestly lots but for all whom Jesus wishes. It's a curse to
the so called miracle makers to hoodwink the innocent people and swindle their
money and abuse their bodies and souls by falsifying the true gifts of God. We
should recognize all preachers, all miracles and miracle-doers in concurrence
with the Holy Scriptures without any man-made interpretations.
Saint Peter Andre (1845-1936 ) of Montréal was a gifted healer. He was only a
door man at a college in Montreal, Canada. He was a little man, both in size and
appearance. Due to poor education, he did not know to read or write until he
reached the age of 25. One day as the pious potter was scrubbing the floor in
the parlour of the college, a lady came to see him, having heard of his
reputation. She was so affected with rheumatism that she could only walk with
the assistance of two men supporting her by holding each arm. Her request to
Brother Andre was simple enough: "I'm suffering from rheumatism. I want to you
to heal me." Not looking up from the floor he was still busy scrubbing, Brother
Andre said to the men assisting her, "Let her walk." The woman walked out
unassisted.
One day Jesus called together his 12 disciples and gave them power and authority
to cast out all demons and to heal all diseases" ( Luke 9: 1). Love is the
greatest gift of God. Practice it with humility in Jesus. If you have the
healing power, do it for the benefit of people without any returns in kind or
cash.
Jesus, you are the source of healings. Let us use the gift of healing to save the souls of unbelievers. Let all the sick be healed. We pray for those who have requested healings from their pains and sorrows. All we ask in the name of Jesus. Amen.
