"What you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, what you have whispered in an inner room will be shared from the house tops." (Luke 12:3)
Do you have any clandestine secrets that should not be revealed?
Jesus said, "But I tell you that men will have to give an account on the day of judgement for every careless word they have spoken" (Mathew 12:36). Always tell the truth and live truthfully the way God wants. Nothing can ever be hidden from the eyes of God. God hates the humbug with double standards. If everybody spoke the truth, then there would be no problems in this world.
Gandhiji, 'the apostle of peace in Indian freedom struggle' had practiced "TRUTH AND NON VIOLENCE" as weapons to fight against the British. The motto inscribed on the emblem of India in Devanagari script is 'Sathyameva Jayate' which means 'Truth alone Triumphs.' People think that telling lies helps to achieve their goals. But, in reality, it is not so. When their lies come to light and the truth is out, then they will be ashamed, unmasked, penalized and deprived of whatever happiness they had hypothetically hallucinated. This principle is universally applicable - in personal life, community life, and national life. According to David, "Lord, who may enter your holy Tent? .. Those who do not tell lies about others and not gossip." (Psalm 15:1,3)
Julian Assange, the founder of Wikileaks, could scoop even the most strategic secret document from the impregnable military corridors of Capitol Hills and CIA. This is really very embarrassing for all the governments and individuals involved in clandestine activities. The news said, "In the name of decency and democracy, the founder of Wikileaks is holding the world hostage. The staggered release of more than 250,000 classified US State Department Documents is unearthing new revelations about long- simmering nuclear trouble spots, detailing US, Israel, and the Arab world fears of Iran's growing nuclear program. The cable also unveils bluntly candid impressions from both diplomats and other world leaders about America's Allies and Foes." In reality, the whole concept of 'off the records' or 'for your eyes only' is under attack.
If nothing can be beyond the scan of human eyes, then what can we conceal from God? When we do or say anything secretly, please remember the saying that 'even walls have ears'. Speak the truth always and have a peaceful life.
Jesus, generate a generation of people who speak the truth and live in truth. Let us stand for truth. Let human beings recognize that You are the way, the truth and the life. Let Christians lead a life of truth. All we ask in the name of Jesus.
