"He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak." (Isaiah 40:29)
Do you feel like you have no energy to move on?
Like a ship without anchor!
Our life is rooted, nourished, watered, and fostered by Jesus - the source.
Jesus said, "I’m the way, the truth, and the life" (John 14:6). He continues,
"Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from
me, you can do nothing" (John 15:5).
Without roots, there are no fruits. When we are here, we should be connected to
God to get strength to live a vibrant fruitful Christian life. Every day, keep
the channel of communication with God through meditation and prayer to boost the
tired muscles of life.
"But they that, wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount
up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary, and they shall walk,
and not faint" (Isaiah 40:31).
"The Lord is my light and salvation - who shall I fear and the Lord is the
strength of my life - whom shall I be afraid of" (Psalm 27:1).
We are living in a generation who highly lean on technology they have invented.
But it fails you and me when we need it most. There is no life in them to
sustain and give life to our over-exercised mind, body, and soul. Over-
dependence on man-made materials never ever fulfill the thirst and hunger of our
soul but lead us to frustration, stress, depression, finally death and eternal
darkness. We always ponder and meditate that from where we are and where we are
headed to. So go back to the roots and get strengthened every day... wherever
you are, whoever you are.
A king who lost his way on a hunting trip spent the night in a farm house. The
simple farmer did not know the king, but showed great hospitality. The king
later made the farmer the Prime Minister. The PM administered the kingdom very
well to the envy of everybody. The senior officials looked at the PM with
jealousy. They complained to the king, "The PM goes a long way into a house
every morning and stays there for a quite a long time. He must be planning a
revolt."
The king followed his PM one day into the house, only to find it empty. The king
asked why. The PM said that every morning, he wanted to remind himself where he
came from in order to best serve the country and the King.
"I can do all things through him who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13).
The day
should start with meditation, Bible reading and prayer in silence and listening
to the voice of God.
Jesus, we are tired. We pray to you to give us the fullness of your refreshing spirit and rejuvenate our weary and weak soul, body, and spirit every day. We pray for those who have cut off relations with you to reconnect. Let technology be the servant and not be the master of man. Let the people remember their roots from where they have come. Let all of us be and do our best in our homes, jobs, and communities. All we ask in the name of Jesus. Amen.
