I want you to see the distinction between those who believe and those who do not believe. That blessed Stone, the Lord Jesus Christ, who you and I see as the chief cornerstone of our whole life, becomes a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense to those who stumble at the Word. They hear the Word but they do not want to obey it. You know what it says, but you do not quite want to do it. You do not know where you are going, because you have no reverence for the Word of God. You have no reverence for the authority of the King of Kings, and He becomes a stone of stumbling to you, and His Word causes nothing but confusion.
It is only through the Spirit of Christ that we have access to the Father. We want access to the Father. We want access to the gates of heaven. When you and I have come to that point that we understand the authority of Gods Word, that we understand the authority of Jesus Christ, who gave His commandments, the law of the gospel, the law of love, we are no more strangers with Him.
How can the building be fitly framed with substances that are not compatible? If you use brick and mortar you can build a wall, but if you use slime instead, your wall will fall down.
Watch what we read in 2 Corinthians 6:14-18: Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
Can you be a companion of unbelievers? To believe means to stand in holy awe and reverence of Christ and His authority. Unbelievers are those who will not obey. You cannot be unequally yoked with them. Many people apply this to marriage, but I do not believe it is confined to marriage. You cannot serve under the yoke of Christ and under the yoke of darkness. You cannot serve God and mammon. You cannot serve Christ and the world. When you come under the yoke of Christ, when you come under His service, you serve Him alone. You cannot partly serve yourself, doing your pleasure, and also serve Christ.
We are talking about building a wall, and we have substances that just do not adhere to each other. How can you have companionship with people who have no reverence for the Word of God? You cannot. What can an idol have to do with the temple of God?
Do you see the precious promises God has for those who stand in awe and reverence of His Word? These precious promises of the goodness of God are a call unto holiness. I want you to see the very next verse. We read in 2 Corinthians 7:1: Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. We must clean up our acts. We must not walk in sin. We must change our mental attitudes our attitudes toward God, ourselves and the world. The word fear means a holy reverence for His will.

Temptation
A Holy character does not avert temptation-Jesus was tempted. When Satan tempts
us, his sparks fall upon tinder; but in Christ's case, it was like striking
sparks on water; yet the enemy continued his evil work.
Finding
Jesus
In my life finding Jesus was the most exciting ever to happen. Once you meet Him
and receive Him into your heart, the happiness starts to overflow. It is natural
to want to tell everyone.
