Mary's Encounter with the resurrected Jesus in the Garden
Mary's Encounter with the Resurrected Jesus in the Garden

The Malayalam Song inscribed in the picture above is the Processional hymn
sung during the Easter Service (based on John 20:15-17). The English translation
is given below:

Oh Mary, I am indeed garden keeper
Indeed am founder and owner of paradise.
Oh Mary, I am life of those that do live,
Indeed am life and resurrection of all
On cross I was killed,
Inside tomb was sealed,
Now you don’t touch me,
To Father not I assumed.
I did indeed rise in glory from the tomb
You proceed immediately and spread news to disciples.

7. A Tale of Two Men - An Easter Story

The resurrection is God's stamp of approval on his Son. That's why Peter says in Acts 2:24, "God raised him from the dead." He says it again in verse 32, "God has raised this Jesus to life." It didn't just happen by chance that Jesus rose from the dead. God raised his own Son on the third day. ...

8. The Impact of the Empty Tomb

Of all the religions of the world, only Christianity claims an empty tomb for its founder. The physical resurrection of Jesus is the cornerstone of Christianity. British theologian Michael Green said it well when he noted, "Without faith in the resurrection there would be no Christianity at all." ...

The resurrection is not some static story that happened in history 2000 years ago. The resurrection is a dynamic movement - an experience of grace that each one of us is called into again and again and again. And none of us are left out of this. God wants to reveal his resurrection power to each one of us...
