Church Calendar

February marks a busy Liturgical Calendar for the Church. The Christmas Season officially ends with Mayaltho (Presentation of baby Jesus to the Temple) on February 2. The Nineveh Lent (Feb 6-9) begins the season of preparing for the Passion and Resurrection of the Jesus Christ. The Great Lent begins on Feb 27. Here is what is happening in February:

Feb 2 - Mayaltho (Presentation)

Feb 6-9 - Nineveh Lent

Feb 10-11 Manjinikkara Perunnal

Feb 12 - Kohne - Departed Clergy

Feb 19 - Aneede - Departed Faithful

Feb 26 - Kothne - Pethrutha of Great Lent

Feb 27 - Great Lent Begins - Shubkono

Mar 1 - Ash Wednesday
