5. Maundy Thursday and Triduum - The Holiest Days of Passion Week
By dying on the cross, Jesus Christ paid for our sins and made us children of
God, who is love. So, as children of God, and made in the image of God, we
should love one another. That is the new commandment or Mandatum of Love.
The second important thing Jesus did on Maundy Thursday is what is popularly
known as "Last Supper."
During the Last Supper, Jesus offers himself as the Passover sacrifice, the
sacrificial lamb. He established the Eucharist or our Holy Qurbano and
instituted the priesthood. ...

What's so 'New' about the New Covenant?
The Gospel is not about setting up a legal system, but about transforming
hearts. It is about freeing people, one at a time, from the darkness and
slavery of sin and releasing them into "the glorious freedom of the children
of God" (Rom 8:21). Conversion to Christ and the Gift of the Holy Spirit are

fashion, so the gospel message will constantly retain its power, its
relevance and its newness. ...

He Gives Himself Entirely to Us
Jesus gave it all. He continues to give it all, and He asks that we would do the

our brothers and sisters in a perfect act of love. ...

introduces us to shape of this baptized life and the real meaning of
discipleship. We are to do as the Lord Jesus does. We are to love as our Master
loves. He gives us a new commandment – to give our lives away in humble service
even unto death. ...

Don't Let Past Failures Stop You From Taking The Next Step
Whenever we realize we have not taken advantage of a
magnificent opportunity, we are apt to sink into despair. But Jesus comes and
lovingly says to us, in essence, "Sleep on now. That opportunity is lost forever
and you can't change that. But get up, and let's go on to the next thing." In
other words, let the past sleep, but let it sleep in the sweet embrace of
Christ, and let us go on into the invincible future with Him. ...
