It is not enough just to believe in Jesus Christ. Our belief should be based on the un-distorted Bible, the Apostolic traditions handed down by the apostles to their successors, and be based on the Nicean Creed. The ancient churches take this stand. Protestant churches argue that the Bible should be the only basis. This itself is confusing as there are so many Bibles available. The question is which Bible is the true one.
