Changing

Today's Bible Verse

"And why worry about a speck in your friends eye when you have a log in your own." (Mathew 7:3)

Discussion

Do you want to change your life for good?

Change starts from the mind. Till death and beyond change is the rule of nature and that is intended by God. Only one thing in this world that never change is change. Till the perfection – eternal bliss - we have to strive for change and perfection in Jesus. Hatredness to the bad and love to the good is an eternal law inscribed in the souls of all human beings. We want everyone good in everything. And we try to change others and do judgement about their behavior. Actually the traits that bother us in others are often the habits we have in ourselves. Our bad habits and behavior patterns are the very ones that we most want to change in others. Do you find it easy to magnify others' faults while excusing your own? So "change your life first; then change the world" should be your slogan. If we genuinely wish and work to change then there is a way for it. Simply believe in Jesus and ask him to change, listen to him, and obey him. He is the resurrected, all powerful, present everywhere and knows everything God. Trust him, wait for him, and he will change you.

The Sufi Bayazid says this about himself: "I was a revolutionary when I was young and all my prayers to God was: 'Lord, give me the energy to change the world." As I approached middle age and realized that half my life was gone without my changing a single soul, I changed my prayer to: "Lord, give me the grace to change all those who come in contact with me. Just my family and friends, and I shall be content. " Now that I am an old man and my days are numbered, my own prayer is, "Lord, give me the grace to change myself." If I had prayed for this right from the start I would not have wasted my life."

Look in yourselves every day, see every dot to be changed. Pray to Lord, help to change and follow Him. His Grace will help you to become good to you and to others.

Prayer

Jesus, remove all darkness from our life. We are blind to our own faults. Let your all penetrating light open our eyes. And let us see others through thy eyes. We ask this in the name of Jesus.

Amen.
