By Rev. Dr. Curian Kaniyamparambil
This view is called virtualism, receptionism, symbolism etc. Christ is the Son of God. During His time on earth, some people believed this and some didn't. Even though some did not believe, the truth remains the same. (i.e. He was the Son of God.) So what should we believe about the breaking of Eucharist? We have two choices. One can believe that it is not our Lord's flesh and blood. This is what many modern fellowships teach. Or we can believe that it is our Lord's flesh and blood. This is what the early church taught us. This is what all of the church fathers (who codified the Bible and taught us the truth about God) taught us. So who is telling the truth, the church fathers that learned from the apostles or the modern scholars? Also refer to question 68
