"And because of their unbelief, he couldn’t do any miracles among them except to
place his hands on a few sick people and heal them.” (Mark 6:5)
Understating the root cause of an illness never helps the healing process; most often it hinders the process and leads to sickness and death.
Faith is the matter for healing of any hurt or sickness. Only when the creator reveals the cause of any problem partially or fully, then the doctors and scientists can start the treatments that will lead to healing. For an effective, viable and immediate speedy recovery from any illness, faith in the doctor and the effectiveness of treatment and its system, and the medicine is very essential. Without faith, we can't do anything productively or successfully.
Proverbs 3:5 - “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your understanding.”
Faith always bears fruit and healings.
Hebrew 11:1 - “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the assurance of things not seen.”
Communication revolutions facilitated and opened knowledge of all matters to all through different medias like internet. Democratization and individual freedom make the right of individual to know the treatment, causes of the sickness, and even the right of the patients to refuse the treatment. The traditional faith and trust between the patients and the doctors are slowly waning.
One day a prince was shot in the heart by an arrow soaked in poison. When the doctors were about to begin their treatment, the prince ordered, "First, tell me what the poison on this arrow is?” After the poison was identified, then the prince ordered, “First, tell me what type of material this arrow is made of.” After he was told, he then demanded to know who might have made the arrow. All the while, the poison on the arrow tip was spreading through the prince’s body.
He was so enraged and asked the doctors, “Before you begin, I must first know who shot me. You must bring him to me so that I can ask him who he was sent by.” The prince them requested that his spiritual advisor be called. “ I need to know why this has happened,” he demanded. Eventually, the prince died with the arrow still in his heart.
It’s a common mistake to think that healing requires understanding. It does not help. Too much analysis, dissection, breakdown, separation, and logic can close down rather than open you up.
Mathew 17:20 - “If your faith is as big as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, “Move from here to there, it will move.”
Jesus, let us have the faith of in the power and willingness of your healings. Let us come to you in faith for all our sickness and problems because everything is possible for you. Let us not break our heads to understand everything and live in sickness and sorrows. Let us have the faith in you just as a child. We pray for all those who are in doubt, on death beds, in sickness and in search of the reason of it instead of their willingness to come to you. Heal everybody. All we ask in the name of Jesus. Amen.
