"Choose the day whom you will serve…. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." (Joshua 24:15)
Freedom of choice in life and death is in the
hands of humankind! Does this make any sense in your life?
We need freedom to choose what life wants. This is the unique ability God has
showered only on mankind. Not even the celestial beings enjoy that privilege.
Due to the continuous abuse and misuse of it, that discernment ability seems
more or less corroded. Utter confusion is confounded in houses, nations, science
and religion to know what it is what and who is who?
We live in a world that says dark is light, peace is violence, truth is untruth,
and life is death. We need a complete detoxification of all impurities in our
body system - from within and out. I believe that a cleansing by the blood of
Christ is the only antidote for it. A wrong choice in our life will fix our
life, from a child to conceive, the school to study, the friend to depend,
fiancé to companion, church to worship, etc. - all our choices in our life
should be in consultation, concurrence with the still voice of the Almighty.
Without the green signal of the loving unforeseen power, we cannot and should
not take a step forward.
Any wrong choice that we have taken and are in the deep sea of it, should be
retyped and rectified. "Now listen! Today I’m giving you a choice between life
and death, between prosperity and disaster" (Deuteronomy 30:15).
Danna, has two kids, a 5 year-old and a 10-month old. She became pregnant again.
She says, "I still hadn’t recovered fully from giving the last birth. I wasn’t
afraid of the work or the cost involved in raising 3 children, I was just afraid
of going through labor pains again. She didn’t expect to become pregnant so
quick. They had heard about the ‘morning-after‘ pill. They decided to try it
with the advice of an obstetrician. The doctor said, "you are pregnant with a
child from the moment of conception. If you choose to end it, yes, it would be
considered an abortion, and to my mind, abortion is killing, and I cannot help
you, not with a pill or by any means. Although the child is only tiny and just
beginning to form, he or she is already a human being." She decided to go ahead
with the pregnancy. After 9 months, she has given birth to a lovely angelic baby
girl - a joy to all. Danna says, "To this day, I’m thankful and happy that my
baby girl was born and I didn’t go against the will of God."
"He who sows wicked reaps trouble" (Proverbs 22:8). Let us free from all types
of chains and break the shackles and live long with the freedom in Christ.
Jesus, we pray for those who are in chains because of their wrong choices. Let your blood unshackle them. Let those who are under the oppression of despotic rulers, burdensome man-made rules of religions be freed. We pray for all freedom fighters. All we ask in the name of Jesus. Amen.
