Today’s bible verse
“We are here for only a moment, visitors and strangers in the land. Our days on
the earth are like a passing shadow, gone so soon without a trace (1 Chronicles
29:15).
Every thing in this world is passing. The eternal is love alone.
According to St. Paul, “Three things will last for ever- faith, hope and love- and the greatest of these is love.” (1 Corinthians 13:13)
Faith and hope are by products of love. Faith is the foundation, hope is the focus and attitude but love is the action. How can we love? Only by helping others. Every day get up with the focus to help. The person to be helped will be at your door. The only purpose on this earth to help others. That will help you on this earth and the new earth to come.
Last summer, 20 years old Bhavika, a student of
York university in Toronto, volunteered as an English teacher in an interior
village school in Peru. She penned in her traveler book, “What I started out as
noble thought, very quickly transformed in an adventure of a life journey.” The
Dalai lama once said, ”Our purpose in this life is to help others.” “We can do
no great things only small things with great love.” (Mother Teresa) What I did
was merely a small deed, which I hope has made a big impact in the hearts of the
kids. I am one person, but I am one. I can’t do every thing, but I can do
something.”
Can you do something today for others, the happiness you get from that can’t be
measured? Wish you a nice day.
PRAYER
Lord, only one time we travel on the same track. So give us your spirit of love,
to help others before we fade from on this earth .Let us be an instrument of
help to others. All we ask in Jesus name.
Amen.
