For All Walks of Life
"He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber." - Psalm 121:3
Recommended Reading: Psalm 37:1-4
A tire shop in Milwaukee advertised: "Invite us to your next blowout." An optometrist said, "If you don't see what you're looking for, you've come to the right place." And a California landscaper boasted: "We're Easy to Get a Lawn With." But when it comes to clever slogans, maybe the podiatrist had the best one when he said: "Put Your Feet in Our Hands!"
Most of us have learned that if our feet hurt, we hurt all over--and our feet hurt when we're wearing the wrong shoes. (Another podiatrist said: "Time Wounds All Heels," but that's enough slogans for now!) The point is that when we slip our feet into gospel shoes, we feel good all over. When we are shod with the Gospel of Peace, we needn't be anxious as we walk through life. We can cast all our cares on Him who said, "Do not worry about your life" (Matthew 6:25). The psalmist said, "Do not fret" (Psalm 37:1). And the apostle Paul said, "Be anxious for nothing" (Philippians 4:6).
God's shoes are easy on our souls!
"If you are at peace with God through Jesus, then you are shod with peace... His
Presence is an abiding reality in your experience."
C. A. Fox
